Learning the Art

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here’s my Valentine’s Day leopard print pink nail art. Not so bad.

whatrhymes asked: You have totally inspired me:) I love your blog. We're basically in the same boat with nail art; I saw a tutorial on YouTube last spring. I became more and more intrigued with nail art. That summer, basically a nail porn addict was born! Learning from designs, watching/reading tutorials, keeping up w/ nail blogs- the whole shebang! Anyway, I'd loooove to blog my experiences as I "learn the art," as well. So thank you for the inspiration to get that going and for having such a lovely blog! :)

Why thanks! I think you should start a blog! It’s just a nice way to showcase what you are learning and your experiences. I wish I had more time to sit down and practice nail art. It is one of my goals of the new year!

This is my second attempt at snowflake nail art. I still used the wrong brush for the snowflakes. Way too big. I need new brushes. Also, still do not have nail polish remover.

Happy Holidays everyone!  I was browsing pinterst when I found a pin that I wanted to try and replicate on my nails. (You can find the original post where I got my inspiration here:  http://www.nailpolishwars.com/2011/12/happy-holo-days.html ) This is the end result.  It’s been a long while since I painted my nails.  My handy work has gone down hill slightly.  I won’t even post a picture of my right hand.  It’s great kindergarten work, and I’m conveniently out of nail polish remover so I can’t even try to fix it.  Here’s my snowflake/snowman nails just in time for the holiday!
I used NYC Plaza Plumberry, Wet and Wild Shine Kaiedoscope, and Kiss Nail Art Paint for my snowflake nails.  I used Wet and Wild French White Creme, Kiss Nail Art Paint Black, and a orange target brand nail polish I picked up for 90 cents in the clearance section for my snowman nails.

This is my latest nail art attempt. I’m going to be a 1920’s flapper girl for Halloween, and I wanted some pink lacy nail art. This is how it turned. Pretty decent for my first try. Just have to work on my shaky hands.

I’m going out tonight, so I decided to do some abstract nail art to match my outfit. I saw the design on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

It’s been awhile. New job. Two jobs. Lesson plans and nonstop work. But, I found some time! Here’s my attempt at tye-dye tiger stripe nails. I used a sponge to make the tye-dye. Then I used glitter nail polish on black paint for my middle finger and pinkie. Just something fun and funky to wear!

I know it’s summer, but I decided to do some penguin nails. They’re cute little guys!

My dog decided that I needed to be up well before 6:30. So, this is how I decided to pass the time. Glittery wavy lines and white polka dots on a deep red background.
